Brief History
Kolkata-The city of joy located in the eastern part of India. It was previously known as Calcutta at the time of East Indian Company rulers.During the '80s and 90's it was used to be the capital city of India as the Britishers had developed enough this city in terms of transport, communications, education, laws etc.

My Journey to The City of Joy
When I was at 22 I got an opportunity to visit Kolkata. It was my life's first flight from Ladakh airport (Skushok Bakula Ringpochay Airport) to Kolkata.
I was not alone, my friend was also with me. We had our flight nearly at 11:00 A.M.

We both were so excited at that point of time. As soon as we enter the flight the air hostess greets us and vice versa.
Since it was our life's first flight we both were not aware of anything of the aeroplane.

After sitting, the air hostesses helped us with our luggage and after almost half and an hour of the journey the air hostesses start to serve refreshment for the whole people in the flight.
After 45-50 minutes we reached at New Delhi Airport(Indira Gandhi International Airport) where for the first time we both saw the escalators and lifts.
We observed the whole atmosphere was full of pollution we didn't see the clear sky like that of Ladakh and the smell of the air was seriously very bad.

But from there we had another flight from another terminal to Kolkata and we need to reach at that terminal within 40 minutes.
We both were in the fear of missing the flight but the securities and the airport staffs helped us a lot to reach another terminal.
On arrival to Delhi:
As soon as we reached another terminal the airport staffs helped us a lot again to get our flight.
This time we observed the whole thing was totally changed, the people, the culture, the whole atmosphere.
Slowly our excitement changed into a sad and worried one. At last after a long journey of 2 hours and 45 minutes we reached at Kolkata airport.
There we again face so many problems until the time we didn't meet with our receivers.
The receivers greets us with a smiling face and he had also brought us some delicious refreshments. Now we again felt a little bit fresh and happy.
We were waiting there and in the meantime, a taxi came and the receiver helped with our luggage.

We started our next phase of journey from here towards Baligaung Phari Kolkata.
